22 Marriage decision-making as an ethical undertaking - English
This episode is based on a presentation I was invited to give in the kafi blickfabrik of the anthropological association of Zürich in March this year. It offers insight into my Master’s thesis on the topic of marriage pressure in India providing an intimate portrait of the conflicts, reflections and negotiations of eight unmarried women from the urban, Indian middle class. The presentation talks about dealing with societal marriage pressure and the search for the ethically “right” marriage decision for oneself, one’s family and one’s personal happiness.
Big thanks to everybody who is listening. As always I am happy to receive feedback and input best in the form of voice messages or emails. This episode exists in English and German. If you want to listen to the English quotes with a spoken German translation I recommend the German version.
